The incident happened at around 2 a.m. Feb. 9 after Kaysville Police Officer Kalawai Delos Santos saw a car barrelling down Interstate 15 in the wrong direction, KSL-TV reports.

So far this year, seven wrong-way crashes have left five people dead. On Thursday, Kaysville honored officer Kalawai Delos Santos, who has put himself at risk to stop two such drivers.
