Former Harris County employee Darryl Blackburn was punished for allegedly committing timesheet fraud during the 2022 county election.

The Texas Rangers' investigation into the 2022 November elections in Harris County have led to charges, according to Harris County DA Kim Ogg's office.

After a four-day trial, it took a Harris County jury just 16 minutes to convict Kentrell Obrien Brumfield of murder this week. On Wednesday, the judge sentenced him to life in prison.

Darryl Garrett, who was one of the Harris County Precinct 4 constable deputies shot in a deadly ambush, was released from the hospital.
