The family of a notorious, North Texas convicted killer is still fighting for her freedom more than 20 years later. Darlie Routier is one of only a handful of women on death row in Texas.

Routier’s family says the Silly String, provided by Darlie’s sister, was part of a birthday celebration. Her oldest son, Devon, would’ve turned 7 that day.

Routier, 50, is on death row after prosecutors argued that she killed her two sons with a knife, then cut herself to blame the violence on an unknown intruder.
