The National Weather service around midday issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the area ahead of a round of potentially severe weather on Wednesday night.

Residents across parts of Chicagoland are picking up the pieces on Thursday morning after a round of storms brought strong winds and heavy rain to the region on Wednesday afternoon.

A series of severe thunderstorms swept across the Chicago area Wednesday afternoon, causing thousands of power outages and damage throughout the region.

The pause on many tariffs was supposed to end this week, but it didn't. Despite that, reports still indicate that tariffs have caused a notable recent spike in inflation.
