Tom Carney, a longtime CDOT veteran who Mayor Brandon Johnson appointed to lead the department, told colleagues on Friday that he will be leaving City Hall.

The mayor says Tom Carney, who's been in the agency for more than 20 years, is leaving his post to focus on family. He’s the latest among a string of Johnson’s leaders to leave.
