The North Vernon City Council met Monday, July 14, at the Carnegie Building.
A state Appeals Court has overruled a lower court decision that said the city was not liable for conditions in a Tucson neighborhood wash that attracted homeless camps.
Once completed, City Lights Village will include 75 townhouses, a community center, gardens and an orchard. Each unit will house up to two people.
The Park Board's recommendation now goes to the City Council, which will decide whether to pass a resolution calling for the abandonment of the park property.
