Caroline is the daughter of the 35th president of the United States, John F. Kennedy. RFK Jr. is the son of her uncle, former US Attorney General, and New York Senator Robert F. Kennedy Sr.

Ethel Kennedy, who was married to the late former U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, died in October 2024 at age 96.
