A+E Networks' long-gestating plan to convert Bio Channel into a lifestyle cable network has been made official today with the announcement that Bio will be rebranded as FYI next summer.

The Biography Channel, a joint venture between BSkyB and A&E Networks, is to be rebranded as Bio from April. A new logo and on screen identity will be launched, giving it a more contemporary look.
