Family of Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe expresses outrage after ex-girlfriend Karen Read was cleared of homicide charges, with Read receiving only probation for drunk driving.

Nearly a week after Karen Read was found not guilty on second degree murder and manslaughter, the family of John O’Keefe says they’re unable to find peace.

The town of Canton is trying to move forward after the jury acquitted Karen Read of killing John O’Keefe, but division remains high as some say a new police chief won’t solve everything.

John O’Keefe “would be ashamed knowing how our family’s getting treated,” his cousin Vanessa Rizzitano told Boston 25 News.
