An antebellum house built by a former slave in what is now the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area is in danger of falling down, even though a local resident has pledged $100,000 to save it.

Completed in 2002, the house is built into the hillside and features south-facing windows to achieve near-total energy self-sufficiency.
