Dave Matthews of the Dave Matthews Band fame has had to pull out of FireAid — the Jan. 30 benefit concert coming in the wake of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires — due to a family emergency.

Dave Matthews dropped out of FireAid benefit concert and MusiCares‘ 2025 Persons of the Year benefit gala for the Grateful Dead over family emergency.

According to a post shared to the official Dave Matthews Band Instagram account, "due to a critical illness in the family," Matthews is no longer able to perform at either event.
