Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Sunday he was ready to hand over captured North Korean soldiers to Pyongyang in exchange for the return of Ukrainian POWs held in Russia. Zelensky’s offer came hours after South Korea’s National Intelligence Service confirmed Ukraine’s announcement from the previous day that it had captured two North Korean soldiers.

Kyiv is prepared to hand over captured North Korean soldiers to Pyongyang if North Korean leader Kim Jong Un organizes their exchange for Ukrainian troops held in Russian captivity, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his daily address on Sunday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the wounded North Korean soldiers were taken to Kyiv and are communicating with Ukrainian officials.

Ukraine's president adds that "for those North Korean soldiers who do not wish to return, there may be other options".
