Construction is underway on a new track at McDaniel College in Westminster. Once complete the track will be open for community use and provide a space for local events, McDaniel Director of Athletic Communications Jason Eichelberger said.

Kate Joyce (Javelin): In her senior season, Joyce finished ninth place in javelin and was awarded Second Team All-America honors. Joyce had a personal best throw of 56.03 meters in her last match of her college career. The grad transfer also currently holds the all-time record for javelin in the Ivy League.

Emily Fink just finished up her collegiate career at the outdoor championships and is leaving the Army program as one of best they have seen.

After taking COY honors in boys track and field, Aaron Overton earned the nod for the Vero girls as well. The girls squad matched the boys with a sixth-place finish at the 4A state meet, earning the program’s first top-10 state finish since 2010. Vero placed second at districts and fourth at regionals.
