A vehicle was seen speeding through the crowd and several protesters were detained during the Tuesday demonstration that drew thousands to downtown Chicago voicing opposition to the Trump administration's stepped-up use of force against immigrants.

President Donald Trump has deployed 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines to Los Angeles, while Gov. Gavin Newsom called the president’s actions “a serious breach of state sovereignty.”
