It’s a big day for Nintendo fans. The gaming giant’s new console, the $450 Switch 2, arrives on store shelves globally after being announced in April — marking Nintendo’s first major console launch since the original Switch arrived roughly eight years ago.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is launching at a price of $449. There is a limited-time bundle that includes Mario Kart World that costs $499 (which, considering the game itself will retail for $79.99, is a good deal if you plan to buy Mario Kart anyway.)

Gamers across the country were lining up at midnight to be the first to get their hands on the “biggest game launch of the year”.
