A mixed picture for Saturday afternoon with showers in northern England and Scotland but it is much drier in England and Wales and Northern Ireland. In the evening the westerly wind starts to drive the showers out towards the North Sea and the skies become much clearer across the UK as a result.

Sunday morning starts of dry and bright across the UK, with some frost in places. As the day progresses cloud arrives in the west of the UK but it is still sunny in the east of the country in the afternoon.

Another cold start, with widespread cloud and outbreaks of rain for many. Persistent bands of rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland slowly tracking southeast, affecting northern England and Wales into the afternoon.
