Israel and Iran intensified their deadly air strikes Monday on the fifth day after Israel launched its first attack to dismantle Iran's nuclear capability.

Iran and Israel continued on Sunday their aerial attacks, which began Friday with a series of Israeli strikes on Iran.

Israel says it first bombed Iran to stop it from being able to produce nuclear weapons and the “existential threat” they would represent.

Oil prices rose again Tuesday morning in Asia, as markets weighed the odds of a resolution in the Israel-Iran conflict. Crude prices bounced as news of fresh attacks rolled in, including another wave of Iranian missiles launched at Israel and more Israeli strikes on Iran.

Oil prices have resumed their upward climb and U.S. futures are lower after Israel's military issued an evacuation warning to 330,000 people in Iran's capital Tehran.

"American Forces are maintaining their defensive posture & that has not changed," the chief Pentagon spokesperson said.
