U.S. President Donald Trump ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE) to focus its operations on "the core of the Democrat Power Center" and said his administration "would put every resource possible" into mass deportations.

At the same time, the Trump administration has directed immigration officers to pause arrests at farms, restaurants and hotels, after Trump expressed alarm about the impact aggressive enforcement is having on those industries, according to a U.S. official familiar with the matter who spoke only on condition of anonymity.

Trump made the announcement in a Truth Social post on Sunday night, where he called on ICE officers to "reverse the tide of Mass Destruction Migration."

Two of four detainees who escaped from an immigration detention center in New Jersey on Friday have been captured, authorities said on Sunday.
