Elon Musk has left the White House with little fanfare after splitting with Trump on policy and failing to meet his DOGE savings goals.

The newspaper reported that Musk had been taking ketamine, ecstasy, mushrooms, Ambient, Adderall and other drugs while on the job.

The newspaper says the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, who said earlier this week he was leaving the Trump administration after his work with DOGE, was using drugs "far more intensely than was previously known" as he became a close ally of the president near the beginning of his second term.

Days earlier, Musk also appeared to be throwing shade at Trump's overspending, telling Bloomberg's Mishal Husain: "I think, in terms of political spending, I’m going to do a lot less in the future. I think I've done enough."
