Adelaide Zoo has announced the names of the two new giant pandas ... On Saturday, Zoos SA revealed female panda Yi Lan and male panda Xing Qiu would be the zoo’s newest pair.

four-year-old male panda Xing Qiu’s name means “autumn star” and plays homage to the starry autumn night he was born. His three-year-old female pal Yi Lan’s name means “ideally blissful”.
