Last of western North Dakota wildfires 100% contained Authorities announced Monday that the Bear Den fire, near Mandaree, is now fully contained. The fires destroyed nearly 120,000 acres.

The chilly weather is 15-20 degrees below normal for this time of year. Western and central North Dakota typically see the last spring freeze of the year in mid-May.
