A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration from immediately enacting certain changes to how federal election are run, including adding a proof-of-citizenship requirement to the federal voter

(Reuters) -A federal judge on Thursday blocked parts of President Donald Trump's executive order seeking to impose new rules on U.S. elections, which Democrats and other groups said risked denying eligible citizens the right to vote.

The Trump administration cannot enforce parts of an EO requiring US election officials to assess if people who are registering to vote are citizens.
