Senate Republicans released their updated version of the massive spending bill late Friday, which still includes an extension of tax cuts mainly for wealthy people, and have scheduled the first vote to move it forward.

U.S. Senate Republicans on Friday were trying to reach consensus over President Donald Trump's sprawling tax-cut and spending bill, including proposed healthcare cuts that have worried some of their more populist-minded members.

Senators are working through the weekend on the so-called "One Big Beautiful Bill Act"- and while Democrats can't stop the bill on their own, they do have a new plan to slow down the process.
