There are three types of Alphabet shares, called Class A, Class B, and Class C. In 2014, ahead of the creation of Alphabet, Google created Class C, which gives owners no voting rights.

Alphabet is less overvalued than the entire technology sector. This means that the likely reallocation of capital between markets will put less pressure on the company in a post-COVID-19 world.

There's a third type of Alphabet stock, but the Class B shares are not available to the public. The difference between these classes of Alphabet stock is not immediately obvious.
