Moraes has ordered numerous social media accounts be suspended in Brazil for spreading what he deems hate speech, at one point temporarily halting the entire X platform — which is owned by Elon Musk, one of the president’s most powerful advisers. He has been fiercely critical of tech companies more broadly.

The lawsuit came hours after the justice received an indictment of Brazil’s former president, who is an ally of President Trump.

A group of migrants are suing the Trump administration for ending the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for more than 600,000 Venezuelans, claiming the move is unlawful and racially motivated.

Various organizations filed a lawsuit against the Trump Administration on Wednesday in response to the Executive Orders.

The organizations claimed that the president had exceeded his authority in issuing the orders, and that they intentionally discriminated against Black and transgender people.
