The pins can be received by any Vietnam-era veteran who has their DD-214 papers proving they served in the military anytime between Nov. 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975, regardless of location.

Any veteran who served in the armed forces between Nov. 1, 1955 and May 15, 1975 is eligible for the pin — regardless of where they were stationed.
