Now, in their fiftieth seasons, both franchises will pay tribute to those first years and that first matchup. The Buccaneers announced on Thursday that they will be wearing their new white throwback uniforms at the Seahawks on October 5 in a repeat of the "Expansion Bowl" from 1976.

The jerseys are adorned with a faint amber garnish atop a mainly white surface. The helmet is a mural, paying tribute to another icon of Tampa Bay's past: Bucco Bruce, the winking pirate who was the organization's logo for 21 years.

The 2025 Tampa Bay Buccaneers will certainly look the part as the franchise begins its yearlong celebration of its 50th season. That celebration will include the return of the team's original jerseys from its inaugural season back in 1976. The Buccaneers will wear their 1976 uniforms for their Week 1 showdown against the New York Jets .
