AVH is a feature on some Subarus, but what, exactly, does it do? Why do some drivers dislike it? And if you dislike it, how would you go about disabling it?

Q: Between eight and 15 miles of driving, the tire-pressure indicator in my 2007 Subaru Outback begins flashing and continues to do so until the trip ends. The pressure in all the tires is fine.
