KCAL News has issued its first Next Weather Alert as strong and widespread winds are expected to impact much of the Southern California region. Weather officials say winds should pick up late Tuesday morning and continue through the night.

At 2:43 a.m. on Tuesday, the NWS San Diego CA issued an updated wind advisory in effect until Wednesday at 2 a.m. The advisory is for San Bernardino County Mountains, Riverside County Mountains, San Diego County Mountains and Apple and Lucerne Valleys.

Los Angeles County is under an updated wind advisory which was released by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 3:52 a.m. The advisory is valid from 10 a.m. until Wednesday, Apr. 2 at 9 a.m.
