Summertime is when many tourists travel to European hotspots like Italy and Greece — but oftentimes the experience people encounter there during the busy season is anything but relaxing.

And the cliffside cocktail bars provide a romantic stage where tourists gather for each Santorini sunset. It seems, at least in most photographs, that Greek-island towns like Oia are completely white.
