Saks Fifth Avenue Store in San Francisco's Union Square is set to close on May 10, the store's parent company confirmed.

Saks Fifth Avenue is expected to close for good in San Francisco's Union Square after operating in the area since 1997.

Another major retailer in San Francisco’s Union Square is closing next month. Saks Fifth Avenue is closing its downtown store at 384 Post St., a Saks Global spokesperson said in a statement. The retailer cited the decision to close as one to “focus on long-term growth.
