The Trump administration said Monday that it has deported 17 more “violent criminals” from the Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gangs to El Salvador, as it doubles down on a policy of removing people from the U.

Mirelys Casique recognized her son, Francisco, in a video released by El Salvador President Bukele showing Venezuelan deportees arriving from the U.S. without any hearing or due process.

The Trump administration said the men accused of being MS-13 and Tren de Aragua members were sent to El Salvador as part of a “counterterrorism operation.”
