Case 2. An 80-year-old male patient had clinical symptoms of dysphagia in association with an aberrant right subclavian artery and an aneursym that was 4.5 cm in diameter (fig 1).
The right subclavian artery is totally occluded (B), and the clamp is released (C). The right subclavian artery is partially obstructed in two stages (D and E).
There were 8 occlusions of the left and 7 of the right subclavian artery. The average age at operation was fifty-seven, with a range of forty-four to seventy-one years.
