The new Porsche 911 Carrera S is here (from AUD$342,700 plus on-road costs), and it’s arrived with more standard equipment, GTS-rivalling power from its non-hybrid 3.0-litre turbocharged boxer engine,

Slotting into its expected role in the hierarchy between the base Carrera and the now-hybrid GTS, the S sees a big increase in output from its 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six, with the wick now dialed up up to 473 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.

Carrera S introduces a more powerful 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine with 470 bhp and enhanced standard features, including improved suspension and brakes.

The new 992.2-gen Carrera S also has more standard features, but the coupe's base price has risen over $15K to $148,395.

2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S has been unveiled in the global market. The Sport s car will be offered as a coupe and a cabriolet. The Carerra S sits between the Carerra and the GTS in the 911's lineup.
