King Charles III’s scheduled audience with Pope Francis at the Vatican next month has been postponed by mutual agreement after medical advice suggested the pontiff would be better off with more rest

Pope Francis has been in hospital for more than a month being treated for double pneumonia. And just after the Vatican released the first image of him in hospital, Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles and Queen Camilla plan to travel to meet with him at the start of next month.

According to a statement from Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, the decision to postpone the visit was made by "mutual agreement."
