Pedestrians leave the Bridle Trail near Rotary Park on Casper Mountain on Friday afternoon. Parts of the trail are still covered in snow from recent spring storms.

Most of the Bridle Trail’s 4.5-mile loop sits on his 200-some Casper Mountain acres, and landowner Michael Reed is OK with that.

Long before Christman purchased his land near Rotary Park on Casper Mountain, the Bridle Trail system utilized a road connecting his cabin and other Casper Mountain homes to Garden Creek Road.

In February, the Casper native signed an easement granting public use of the section of Bridle Trail running through his property — a trail originally trekked by the hooves of his family’s horses.
