David Bara's backyard ice rink has been up and running for 10 years, a place where his kids and others in the Fox Chase neighborhood can skate.

Philadelphia Water Department crews were on the scene with heavy equipment, which brought neighbors relief, but there was also frustration.

Under their ownership, Yardley Ice House won Best of Philly in 2003, 2012, 2013, and in 2016 when it graced the cover of Philadelphia Magazine as the best water ice in the Delaware Valley.
