Montpelier, VT– The Vermont Senate will not try to ... Senate President Pro-Tem Phil Baruth announced the senate has no intention to bring the bill up for an override vote.

In their second version of an annual budget adjustment bill, Democratic lawmakers had attempted to extend the state’s motel voucher program until June 30.

The extension, which will apply to roughly 400 households, comes after the governor struck down legislation that would have granted a reprieve for all participants.
