China Quanjude (Group) Co <002186.SZ>, which operates a chain of Peking Duck restaurants, envisages eventually expanding to as many as 300 outlets, up from about 80 now, an official said on Friday.

Quanjude's whole roast duck (238 yuan, or $38) featured tender slivers of juicy meat with purplish red skin, complemented with lotus-leaf-shaped and hollow pancakes, sweet dip and vegetable fillings.

Founded by a poultry hawker, Quanren Yang, in 1864, during the reign of Emperor Tongzhi in the Qing (Manchu) Dynasty, Quanjude is the oldest surviving restaurant in Beijing making Peking duck.
