If all else fails, you can't go wrong with an Irish Cream liqueur like Baileys. Simply add the sweet alcoholic beverage to your hot chocolate for a warm mug of spiked deliciousness.

Keeping it simple (and due to a lack of alcohol in my cupboard), I chose to mix the chocolate liqueur with just some milk. After blending, I topped it off with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
