The popular AI assistant ChatGPT, and image generator Sora, suffered significant downtime as part of a major OpenAI outage today, June 10.
OpenAI on Tuesday said a “partial outage” was disrupting functionality for ChatGPT, though the company said it identified the “root cause” of the issue and is implementing a fix, as nearly 2,000 users reported issues with the AI-powered chatbot on DownDetector.
OpenAI’s 400 million ChatGPT users experienced “elevated error rates” worldwide on Tuesday as consumers reported thousands of technical issues, according to data from DownDetector.com, a website that tracks online service outages.
