Onimusha Way of the Sword trailers. Following its world premiere at The Game Awards last year, a Capcom Spotlight in February 2025 included a message from the Onimusha Way of the Sword developers.

It's been a long time since the last new Onimusha game – 18 years, in fact – and fans of the series had all but given up on the idea of a brand-new entry in the cult classic series.
