The transfer portal for women's basketball opened on March 24, and players across the country have announced their intentions to transfer and find a new school. This includes several players at New Mexico State. The Aggies have had seven players in the transfer portal so far, including multiple starters from the 2024-25 season.

In 2024, the LSU women's basketball team dipped into the transfer portal to address its needs for a lead ballhandler and backcourt depth. A new cycle of roster churn has since begun, and those priorities have since shifted.
