Rumors from earlier this year that correctly reported the specs of the 5060 series also indicated that Nvidia was planning to launch a low-end RTX 5050 GPU at some point, its first new entry-level GPU since launching the RTX 3050 in January of 2022. The 5050 could still be coming, but if it is, it wasn't part of Nvidia's announcements today.

Nvidia is announcing its RTX 5060 family of GPUs today, just a day before it releases the RTX 5060 Ti on April 16th. Two variants of the RTX 5060 Ti are launching, the $379 8GB of VRAM model and the $429 16GB version. The $299 RTX 5060 will launch at some point in May with 8GB of VRAM.

Following the launch of RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti graphics cards, Nvidia has pulled the rug on its latest set of Blackwell GPUs for desktops and laptops, with the RTX 5060 Ti and 5060 primed for DLSS 4.
