The Sauk Rapids City Council extended its annexation resolution with neighboring Minden Township at its special meeting Monday night, continuing the pre-existing arrangement past its sunset date.

Concerns arose among Minden community members after seeing that discussion and public comment about the siren had been added to the agenda for Wednesday, Oct. 4 meeting of the Minden town council.

HHHS president and CEO Carolyn Plummer and board chair David O’Brien outlined the reasons for the decision during a meeting with Minden Township and Haliburton County councils on Thursday.
