The character of Moon Knight has never appeared in a Marvel movie or TV series, but was introduced in Marvel Comics' "Werewolf by Night" Nos. 32-33 in 1975 and garnered his first solo comic in 1980.

Moon Knight was the only Avenger to survive but is now back with new versions of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Ryan Stegman and Ken Lashley’s covers for the issue show the new Avengers 2099 lineup.

After four series featuring characters seen in the “Avengers” franchise, “Moon Knight” marked Marvel’s first attempt at a true origin story for Disney+.

In fairness, it’s totally fine to not be familiar with Moon Knight — or even know who the heck he is — because he’s never really been one of Marvel marquee titles like Spider-Man or the X-Men.
