BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - The Alabama Sports Hall of Fame will recognize the accomplishments of former Alabama running back Major Ogilvie when it inducts him into the 2014 class this upcoming May.

It was Ogilvie's sensational running through an impressive four-year career for the Tide that earned him induction into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame this weekend.

Back when the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame started, Major Ogilvie and his brother received posters of inductees that they hanged on their bedroom walls. Now Ogilvie is a member.

Consequently, he had 1,718 career rushing yards on 299 carries, and 26 touchdowns overall, but there isn't a single statistic listed in his Alabama Sports Hall of Fame bio: ...
