A fast-moving wildfire destroyed a historic lodge and dozens of other structures on the Grand Canyon’s North Rim, forcing officials to close access to that area for the season

The Grand Canyon Lodge was one of dozens of structures destroyed in a fast-moving wildfire in Arizona over the weekend, the National Park Service (NPS) confirmed.

A mandatory evacuation for visitors to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park was issued as a wildfire advanced toward Jacob Lake, Arizona.
