According to the NWS map, parts Calhoun, Nicholas, Gilmer, Lewis, Braxton, Uphsur, Webster, and Clay counties are under a severe thunderstorm warning until around 7:30.

Mingo County is gold or better for only the second time in the last nine weeks. Twelve of West Virgina’s 55 counties were red, another 15 were orange. Cabell County moved to orange on the map.
