Karen Read is a rare case: a woman accused of murder who has her own fan club. Crowds of supporters, many wearing pink, are expected when she goes on trial again for murdering her police officer boyfriend.

The Massachusetts woman is accused of running down her boyfriend, a Boston police officer. Her first trial ended with a hung jury.

In her only interview, Victoria George told VF, “I waited for nearly a year after the mistrial, hoping the court system would work as intended to remedy some of the wrongs in this case.”
